Yolanda & Carmen Bruno, Violin & Cello duo
Who did I shoot?
Yolanda Bruno is a Canadian solo violinist, who has played with most of Canada’s prestigious orchestras as a soloist, has received the Virginia Parker Award by the Canada Council for the Arts, and has been featured on CBC Music’s annual list of CBC’s 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30. She is also a genuinely warm person and great to shoot with. Her website: yolandabruno.com.
Carmen Bruno is a doctoral student in Violincello at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in Montréal, Quebec. She’s the more sassy one of the two, which makes for a great combo when you spend time with them both.
They currently play as a duo here in Montréal, Quebec.
Where did we shoot?
At the Tam Photography Studio in Boucherville, Quebec.
Useful to know
I sometimes use a wind machine in the studio, which may make your eyes tear up. Make sure to bring your makeup-kit, so we can do touch-ups in case you start looking like a racoon.
Fun Fact
It took them really long to choose the photos, and also me to edit them. But, wasn’t it worth it?
