Who did I shoot?
Jenny Ivanovna, who moved to Montreal from Mexico to pursue her Master in Vocal Performance at McGill. I heard her killer mezzo-soprano voice during her performance at the Wirth Vocal Prize 2020, which she ended up winning.
Where did we shoot?
In my studio in Boucherville.
Useful to know
Don't overdo your hair. Too much hairspray can mess it up for the shoot, and make it all stiff. A curling iron, overused, can do the same thing. Bring a brush, clips, elastics. We'll find a way to make it look beautiful by flipping it, tossing it, and worst case, there is always the wind machine.
This is Jenny’s natural hair (#wokeuplikedis). Thank god she didn’t put anything in it.
Fun Fact
Jenny had contacted me at the beginning of her studies, about two years before the shoot, but couldn't make it since it became super busy for her during audition season. So she reached out again. when it worked out for her.
