Who did I shoot?
Marie-Andrée Mathieu, or MAR, as her brother calls her affectionately, is a mezzo-soprano from the quaint little town of Quebec City.

We shot in a secret location close to my studio in Boucherville, as well as in the studio itself.
Useful to know
You’re not sure what to wear for your photos? Wear what you like. What you really like. Wear something that makes you feel cool, confident, and radiant. Marie arrived in the casual outfit with the green top and the patterned pants and asked me which dress we should try first. I told her to leave her casual outfit on, because it looks amazing on her. And it does, doesn’t it?
Fun Fact
Most of us have a really particular way of looking at ourselves in the mirror. I feel like we’re mirroring what we see in magazines - a kind of sensual look on women, a strong look in men. Marie did the same thing, checking her hair in her pocket mirror - so I told her to hold it up, and LOOK AT ME! That’s how the first photo came to be.
